2nd Annual Kelwood Seed Swap & Gardening Social date has been set: Saturday, February 10 10AM – 3PM.

We are thrilled to be part of the stellar lineup of speakers/presenters this year. If you did not attend the previous Seed Swap & Gardening Social we had spoke about the importance of using minimal plastics in our small flower farm operation & one way we accomplish this is by using handmade paper pots.

This year we are switching gears and focusing on another part of our operation that we take very

seriously – ATTRACTING POLLINATORS!

Please do consider this your invitation to swing by Kelwood the weekend before Valentines day. The time of our workshop has yet to be determined, stay tuned as we will let you know as we do!

Along with workshops and presentations the duration of the Gardening Social, there is also an active seed swap. Simply bring seeds or a bit of cash to donate in leu of seeds, then swap/trade with the other various seeds on the swap table.

If you are on the lookout for an intentional, locally made gift for your loved ones this Valentines day, there will also be local vendors set up with locally made goodies – do not miss out! We are still seeing if we can round up enough fresh eucalyptus branches to offer – leave a comment if you are interested in a few branches of eucalyptus for your shower?

Well I gotta go push the mountain of snow off our roof now that we are out of the polar vortex, ha!
