The goal that I have for this reoccurring Monday blog post is to help you learn the importance of and the basic tools for:
Today is the beginning of a series of posts surrounding business Marketing. Some points that I plan to cover over the future Mondays would include: budgets, joint marketing, how to stand out, referrals, marketing methods, how to get your name out, along with many more topics. I must be the first to say that this series is based solely on my experience & am sharing the marketing strategies that moved my business forward! That disclaimer aside, lets get to the meat-and-potatoes of this…
To define it, in my own words, I would have to say, ‘The Elevator Pitch’ is a brief introduction pitch you would give a potential client about what you do/your business, that would last the average time of an elevator ride.’. It is simple to make and with a bit of memorization, you are set to get out to testing it out on anyone.
An example of such a ‘elevator pitch’ would be:

The Elevator Pitch is a superb tool to have in your ‘marketing tool-belt’. Once you have the perfected your personalized Elevator pitch, it is a tool that is so very useful in so very many situations! It is a tool one can use to avoid the dreaded silence when you are introducing yourself. If you are shy, this tool is a great option to fall back on when faced with numerous introductions. Put to use during networking events or even when you meet new people on the street – you never know! I personally love using this as an ice-breaker, as it always leads to a conversation.
Once you have a few sentences about yourself, business, goals, promotions, etc… REMEMBER to keep it as short as the average elevator ride: generally less than 2 minutes. It is you in a nutshell – make it interesting, genuine & specific!
Having trouble getting the perfect elevator test/pitch without sounding too salesy? I hear you & I am here to help! I have made a questionnaire that will assist in creating a perfectly customized elevator pitch for your business! Why? Because I would love to see you take advantage of those precious moments one has to make a impressionable first impression with a potential client. The fact that you are still here with me, reading to this point, tells me that you are a smart entrepreneur who wants to better themselves & in turn their businesses.
